It seems like the business and tasks we are bombarded with overtake the joy of simplicity. At Commander, we are always looking towards the future at new horizons of construction and technology. Although we love helping people with robotic mowing and construction projects, one thing we are really excited about is the future of home building- namely 3D printed houses. Yes, HOUSES. Honestly, when I first heard about this I thought it was a joke. 3D printers don't do that stuff yet, right? Well, I was wrong. Although it feels very futuristic, it is, in fact, happening now!
This is a large 3D printer that uses concrete as its medium. It is set up on large equipment and programmed to leave spaces for doors, windows, and other necessary spaces. There have already been several houses built this way around the world, and even some in Texas! We believe that 3D printing is the answer to affordable housing. As it becomes more commonplace, it will reduce the cost of building houses from the traditional cost, especially with high lumber prices. I thought there was no way that these houses would be nice, but check some of these out! They create them in all kinds of styles and they can be personalized.
